Between the time I became a reseller for Sunfly and the opening of CPC,
Chipco (who I was also a reseller for) went bust.
Sunfly's initial color pallette was only 60 colors which were a bit
dull. I worked with them to match as well as possible the 80 chipco
colors.
They then made sets of 20 octagons, each showing 4 of the colors
together with the chipco CMYK for people wanting to try and color match
old chipco orders.
I have FOUR sets only of these available.
Price is $65 shipped per set of 20 |
 |
Chipco had their own color sample swatches, produced in 'pie' sets of
10.
I have two different sets, the top one from their earlier days and then
an updated version closer to their closing time with gold and silver
replacing black and white.
I have TWO sets of the top one, just ONE set of the bottom one.
Any set is $35 shipped, two sets for $60 shipped. |
 |
Way before CPC existed I was a European reseller for Sunfly products and

I have 4 sets of the plaques available and 7 sets of everything else.
Set of 7 plaques - $40 shipped
Set of 8 octagons - $28 shipped
Set of 8 43mm chips - $25 shipped
Set of 8 39mm chips - $25 shipped
Set of 24 octagons/chips - $58 shipped

Samplewise, CPC produced and distributed 10 different dyesub plaques, 9
different acrylic plaques, 4 acrylic jetons and 12 dyesub chips.
I have a few full sets of these still available as shown.
Note that the 3 plaques and one jeton with the 'winter' background
(white sky) and serial numbered and the number will be matched on all 4
pieces.
There were a further 8 variations of the dyesub chip samples which were
not distributed. I only have a few each of these.
So everyone who buys a set will get a random 3 of the extra variations
thrown in.
A little fun fact on the background photos of the Portland Head
lighthouse. I took the first one (blue sky) during a summer visit but
didn't immediately have the plaques and jetons made. When I went back
during the winter I wanted to take the identical photo but part of the
viewing area was closed due to dangerous ice so the pic is slightly
different. I preferred that one though so used it to get 4 items made. I
then decided I wanted samples of all the other sizes available so used
the other pic for those, and opted out of the serial numbering due to
cost.
You are therefore purchasing a set of 38 different pieces.
These are pretty heavy (at least the larger ones are) so that is
reflected in the price which includes international shipping.
Price is $175 shipped per set |

This is the first of 5 inter-related sales posts.
15-20 years ago I was contracted to supply equipment for what was then
the UK Gaming Academy's new 'school' in Blackpool, UK
Initially this was just a school for dealer training. In addition to
equipment, I designed and supplied chips for the tables, as below, with
no location on them.
I have 7 of these sets available. $28 shipped per set. |
 |
This is the second of 5 inter-related sales posts.
Move forward a year or so and the UK Gaming Academy expanded (albeit
temporarily) to become the European Gaming Academy.
Two further UK locations were added with new chips produced. Samples
were also produced of 1's in two colors each for 4 European locations.
The Academy changed from being a 'dealer training school' to run classes
on casino setup, poker room operation, licensing, surveillance etc.
I was asked to provide sample chips in 4 formats as shown in the first
pic below
1. Issued chip
2. Sample with manufacturers ad on back
3. Notched version of 1
4. Notched version of 2
The second and 3rd pics show the production chips made. (26 different
designs)
I have 2 complete sets of those 26 designs in all 4 of the formats (104
chips) for sale at $150 shipped per set.
I also have 2 complete sets of just the 26 chips as issued for sale at
$55 shipped per set. |

This is the third of 5 inter-related sales posts.
My contract with the Gaming Academy immediately turned into something
much bigger.
One of the reasons for their temporary expansion was to train a large
number of poker dealers in a relatively short period of time to deal in
the Crown European Poker series.
Crown, an Australian casino operator (albeit with an English CEO who I
already knew - James Osborne - more info on him here - http://www.marlowcasinochips.com/obsolete/aspinalls.htm)
undertook this series of events for publicity reasons as they wanted to
expand into Europe.
It was a unique series in as much as the only way to get a place in one
of the events was via knockout events played in local bars, clubs,
hotels etc. all over for which winners were given buy-in chips for the
main series. The winner of each series event got a $10,000 entry into
either the WSOP main event, WPT main event (Tunica?) or a Celebrity
tourny in Southern CA.
I got the order to provide chips for the series, and some of the buy-in
chips and this eventually ran to well over 100,000 pieces.
Initially I was asked to provide sample chips in the same 4 formats as
shown in the post above
1. Issued chip
2. Sample with manufacturers ad on back
3. Notched version of 1
4. Notched version of 2
for the 25 locations shown.
I have just one complete set of those 25 locations in all 4 of the
formats (100 chips) for sale at $145 shipped. |
 |
This is the fourth of 5 inter-related sales posts.
Lastly, as far as chips is concerned, I supplied the 1's for the
remaining 48 series locations.
This turned out to be the last (or one of the last) order Chipco ever
produced. I got a bit nervous as I heard they were being investigated
just after I made a downpayment of $10k on the order. They were unable
to fulfil the higher denominations, Crown sourced these from elsewhere.
No samples of these were produced, just the 48 chips as issued.
I have 3 complete sets of these 48 available for sale at $95 shipped per
set. |
 |
This is the fifth and last of the inter-related sales posts.
By the time these designs were approved Chipco had closed down so I had
to go to Sunfly.
I did a deal with Crown that as part of my commission they would supply
me with 'a few each' of all the buy in octagons once the series had
ended.
Of course it didn't work out like that, I ended up with between 1 and 5
of each.
For the 18 in the first image I have 4 complete sets of those alone for
sale at $50 shipped.
I have just ONE complete set of all 78 shown including the 3 Gaming
Academy training pieces for sale at $175 shipped. |
